This contract will provide the Transportation and Public Works Department (TPWD) with a retro reflectometer device, which allows staff to assess road marking and sign conditions and monitor their performance. The device will allow TPWD to make informed decisions related to road maintenance and optimizing their maintenance budget. Additionally, this device is used to take measurements of road markings to assist TPWD in meeting minimum retro reflectivity guidelines and standards.
This is a new contract. Gamma Scientific, Inc. d/b/a UDT Instruments RoadVista or RoadVista, UDT Instruments is the manufacturer and sole authorized provider of all RoadVista highway safety products.
A delay in contract award could affect TPWD’s ability to manage the maintenance of road markings for City streets.
