Additional Backup Information:

The Watershed Protection Department is proposing a storm drain infrastructure project that will reduce the risk of flooding to buildings and roadways in parts of the West Bouldin Creek Watershed. This acquisition is a 32-month extension of the current workspace easement for the infrastructure project which is set to expire on June 30, 2024. This infrastructure project will be undertaken in coordination with the South Lamar Corridor Project. Coordinating it in conjunction with the South Lamar Corridor Project will extend the overall project schedule, requiring extended use of the temporary workspace easement previously obtained for the project. The collaboration between projects will reduce the amount of disturbance to the surrounding neighborhood and reduce the costs to the City by combining the construction efforts along Bluebonnet Drive and Del Curto Road.

 

The purchase price of $93,991 for the proposed acquisition is supported by the original third-party appraisal for the initial temporary working space easement.
