Funding in the amount of $5,824,000 is available from the Texas Department of Transportation. A City funding match of $1,456,000 is required and available in the FY2018-2019 Austin Transportation Department's Capital Budget. A fiscal note is attached.

Prior Council Action:
Resolution No. 20171214-056 authorized the submittal of a list of potential transportation projects for the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) 2019-2022 Call for Projects. Approved on a 10-0 vote with Council Member Troxclair off the dais.

The purpose of this item before Council is to authorize negotiation and execution of an Advance Funding Agreement and to accept and appropriate funds to complete design and implement citywide Emergency Vehicle Preemption and allow for broader deployment of transit signal priority.
