Approval of this item will authorize Austin Public Health to negotiate and execute Amendment No. 11 with Front Steps, allowing the continuation of permanent supportive housing (PSH) services to individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness, and frequent use of emergency systems and criminal justice systems.

Council authorization is being sought prior to the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 budget to allow the parties enough time for negotiation and execution of an agreement with a start date of October 1, 2019, ensuring an uninterrupted continuation of services.

Amendment No. 10 added one 12-month extension option for $111,149. Amendment No. 9 added a 2.5% cost of living increase in the amount of $2,711, approved by Council for Fiscal Year 2017-2018. Amendment No. 8 exercised a 12-month extension option beginning October 1, 2017 for $108,438. Amendment No. 7 was a no-cost modification of program exhibits.
