This contract will provide enterprise-level licensing, maintenance, and support for the City's existing Geographic Information System (GIS) platform. The contract also includes additional software modules and professional services to support the continued growth and enhancement of the City’s GIS capabilities.
Esri serves as the City’s enterprise GIS platform, enabling standardization across applications, databases, and data integrations. This foundational software supports critical City services, including 9-1-1 emergency response, utilities management, permitting, and development review. Esri’s GIS technology is integrated into several enterprise systems such as Maximo, Customer Care & Billing, and the development review, permitting, and inspections software application system commonly referred to as AMANDA. The platform also supports the creation, management, and sharing of GIS data across departments and through the City's public data portal.
This is a replacement contract with the current contractor. Amounts were determined using departmental estimates based on historical spending and anticipated future usage. Esri is the developer and sole provider of the software, along with its associated maintenance and support services.
Executing the new contract is critical to ensure uninterrupted access to essential GIS capabilities and to maintain continuity of service across City operations.
