This contract will provide Troy Products parts and accessories for the City’s public safety vehicles on an as-needed basis. Since 2009, the City has utilized Troy Products as the standard for mounting equipment in public safety vehicles. These items include center consoles for patrol vehicles, base plates and stands for fire engines and ambulances, mounted in-car computers and in-car camera systems, radio equipment, and other similar items that must be safely and securely installed.
This contract will replace a contract that expires on January 18, 2024. The recommended contractor is the current provider for these goods. The requested authorization amounts were determined by using departmental estimates based on historical spend and includes an annual growth for parts and accessories associated with future acquisitions.
A delay in contract approval could affect the City’s ability to have a reliable and continuous source for parts and accessories for public safety vehicles.
