Additional Backup Information:
On February 9, 2017, the City contracted HDR Engineering, Inc., (HDR) as an external consultant team to provide Corridor Construction Program development. The scope included:
• Capital Delivery System evaluation and proposed improvements and tools,
• Communications and Community Outreach plan development and ongoing communication services,
• Minority-Owned Business Enterprises and Women-Owned Business Enterprises outreach plan development
• Program management consulting and staffing augmentation services.
The Corridor Construction Program has reached a critical phase, with several key projects currently under construction. To keep the program on schedule and aligned with Council Resolutions No. 20160818-074 and 20180426-028, it is essential to maintain the current level of staffing support. This continued support enables effective project management, supplemental design work, public communication, and utility coordination through the completion of the program.
This item is time-sensitive—any delay in approving this professional services agreement amendment would directly impact the timely delivery of the Corridor Construction Program.
If this amendment is not approved, HDR would not be able to continue work on the Corridor Improvements Project and key projects would be delayed.
