For More Information:

Direct questions regarding this Recommendation for Council Action to Austin Financial Services - Central Procurement at: FSDCentralProcurementRCAs@austintexas.gov or 512-974-2500.

Additional Backup Information:

The contract provides management of the City’s public access television assets, including its community media production facility, video production equipment, programming, and training. It also supports workforce development in Austin’s creative sector through occupational and non-degree certification training that creates pathways to employment.

This request is for additional funding authority to continue existing services while the City completes the procurement process for a replacement contract.  If the request is not approved, services could be interrupted, which could jeopardize the continued cablecast of public access channels and the City’s ability to meet applicable programming requirements under the Texas Utilities Code, Title 2, Public Utility Regulatory Act, Subtitle C, Chapter 66.
