September 12, 2024 - Council approved the negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 10 to the agreement with Casa Marianella on an 11-0 vote.
November 20, 2014 - Council approved the award, negotiation, and execution of a contract with 33 social service agencies or other qualified offerors on a 6-0 vote. Council Member Tovo recused herself from contracts associated with Theater Action Project/Creative Action.

Casa Marianella is an Austin-based nonprofit operating since 1986 and offering shelter and support services to displaced immigrants. Casa Marianella is the only shelter in Austin dedicated to this population. Support services include case management, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, food, clothing and toiletries, access to physical and mental healthcare, transportation, translation, education, and referrals to other nonprofit, community, and governmental agencies. Throughout this agreement, Casa Marianella has served 2,448 unduplicated clients.
This action will authorize Amendment No. 12 to the Homeless Strategy Office’s agreement with Casa Marianella, beginning September 1, 2025. The action adds one-time funds in the amount of $500,000 and extends the agreement for one 13-month term.
Amendment No. 11 modified program exhibits for the period of October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.
Amendment No. 10 extended and added funds in the amount of $500,000 for the period of October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.
Amendment No. 9 exercised the sixth extension option in the amount of $201,668 for the period of October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024.
Amendment No. 8 exercised the fifth extension option in the amount of $201,668 for the period of October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023.
Amendment No. 7 exercised the fourth extension option in the amount of $201,668 for the period of October 1, 2021, to September 30, 2022.
Amendment No. 6 exercised the third extension option in the amount of $201,668 for the period of October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021.
