Purchasing Language:

The Financial Services Department issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) 5000 TJP1017 for these goods and services. The solicitation was issued on March 17, 2025, and closed on April 22, 2025. Of the three offers received, the recommended contractors submitted the lowest responsive offer. MBE/WBE:

This contract will be awarded in accordance with City Code Chapter 2-9B (Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program). For the services required for this solicitation, there were no subcontracting opportunities; therefore, no subcontracting goals were established. However, the recommended contractor identified subcontracting opportunities.

Additional Backup Information:

These contracts will provide preventative maintenance, repair, inspection, replacement, and modernization of automatic gates, along with additional services as needed. The gates, which may be sliding or swinging, are motorized to open and close via sensor or badge access, facilitating both vehicular and pedestrian movement. Ensuring the proper functionality of these perimeter gates is a vital component of the City’s security systems, helping to protect facilities, assets, personnel, and visitors.

 

These contracts will replace a contract which expires September 28, 2025. The requested authorization amount was determined using departmental estimates based on historical spend and future usage.
