Additional Backup Information:

This action will authorize the negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 17 to an agreement with The SAFE Alliance d/b/a SAFE to provide victim services, bridge to safety, and support services to survivors of sexual and domestic abuse and/or violence. The mission of The SAFE Alliance, previously named the Travis County Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Survival Center, is to end sexual and domestic violence through safety, healing, prevention, and social change for residents of Austin/Travis County.

The program meets victims' immediate needs for safety; helps them manage the trauma they have experienced; and supports their efforts to build healthy, self-sufficient lives free of violence. The program’s goal is that clients residing in shelter will receive case management services and transition from shelter into housing. This program addresses key community needs identified in Austin Public Health’s Community Health Assessment.

The agreement was renewed from 2015 to 2026, including Amendment No. 1 through 16. Amendment No. 2 was a no cost amendment. Amendment No. 13 added $46,808.07 to the Agreement and exceeded the NTE amount under the Council limit.
