The Financial Services Department issued an Invitation for Bids solicitation IFB 7800 SAR1005 for these goods and services. The solicitation was issued on June 3, 2024, and closed on July 9, 2024. Of the two offers received, the recommended contractor submitted the lowest responsive offer. This solicitation was reviewed for subcontracting opportunities in accordance with City Code Chapter 2-9B (Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program). For the services required for this solicitation, there were no subcontracting opportunities therefore, no subcontracting goals were established.

Additional Backup Information:
The contract will provide for the repair and replacement of transmissions in City vehicles to supplement the work performed by City technicians.
The requested authorization amount for this contract was determined using departmental estimates based on historical spend, along with a small annual increase to account for additional repairs due to aging equipment and for future acquisitions. This contract will replace a current contract that will expire on January 20, 2025. The recommended contractor is the current provider for these goods and services.
If the City is unable to secure a contract, Fleet Mobility Services Department will not have a reliable source for transmission repair and replacement services.
