August 26, 2021 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 8 with Austin Community College District to provide funding for childcare quality improvement services, to add two 12-month extension options each in an amount not to exceed $51,128, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $356,649, on an 8-0 vote with Council Member Renteria and Mayor Pro Tem Harper-Madison off the dais and Council Member Kelly abstaining.
February 15, 2018 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 3 to the interlocal agreement with Austin Community College District for childcare quality improvement services to add funds in an amount not to exceed $1,247 for the 12-month period ending on September 30, 2018 and each of the three remaining 12-month extension options, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $254,393, on a 10-0 vote with Council Member Casar off the dais.
April 13, 2017 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 1 to the 12-month interlocal agreement with Austin Community College District for childcare quality improvement services to add funds in an amount not to exceed $1,121 for the current 12-month agreement period ending September 30, 2017 and each of the remaining four 12- month renewal options, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $249,405, on a 9-0 vote, with Council Member Troxclair abstaining and Council Member Pool absent.

Additional Backup Information:
This action would authorize the continuation of an already existing social services agreement with Austin Community College District. The program provides early childhood educators who live in Austin/Travis County and earn less than $25 per hour with education opportunities to increase upward mobility in the childcare space and improve the quality of early childhood education.
