Additional Backup Information:
The amendment will provide Austin Resource Recovery (ARR) continued access to budgeting and planning software and add a workflow management module and implementation services. OpenGov budget and planning software solution provides ARR with tools to streamline their budgeting, financial analysis, performance management, and financial oversight processes.
The Workflows Module streamlines budgetary form submissions, automates approval processes, integrates seamlessly with existing third-party systems, and improves transparency across the department. By utilizing this module, ARR can enhance internal efficiencies, deliver better service to stakeholders, maintain compliance, and scale operations to meet future demands.
The State of Texas Department of Information Resources cooperative is a cooperative purchasing association recognized under Texas procurement statutes. Cooperative associations, themselves or using a lead government, competitively solicit and award contracts that are eligible for use by other qualified state and local governments. Due to their substantial volumes, larger than any one government could achieve independently, cooperative contracts routinely include superior terms, conditions, and pricing. Use of cooperative contracts also results in lower administrative costs and time savings.
If the proposed amendment is not approved, ARR will be unable to utilize OpenGov’s Forms and Workflows Module, which may lead to increased risk for errors and non-compliance.
