Additional Backup Information:
This contract will provide the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport with specialty pre-conditioned air hoses and ducts. The airport currently utilizes this equipment to provide air conditioning and heating to aircrafts during boarding and deplaning operations. Moving to this type of duct will reduce operations and maintenance costs for the airport while also providing better customer service to airline partners and the travelling public.
The equipment that will be utilized at the airport is manufactured, sold, and distributed exclusively by Metroplex Custom Services, LLC. Metroplex Custom Services, LLC, is the sole source manufacturer and distributor of this specialized equipment.
The equipment used under this contract supports the airport’s goals of reducing operating costs and providing top tier customer service to airline partners and the travelling public. This contract will ensure the airport has a consistent avenue to purchase and maintain our preconditioned air ducts and hoses.
Failure to approve this contract impact the airport’s ability to manage climate control during the boarding and deboarding process.
