The contract is for the purchase and installation of Rotary vehicle lifts and associated equipment for Fleet Mobility Service Centers to replace the existing equipment that is nearing the end of its useful life. The contractor will provide delivery and installation of wheel lifts, rolling jacks, mobile lifts, truck aligners, 22,000-pound and 30,000-pound lifts, as well as parts and labor warranties. These advanced lifting systems use a set of strong, precisely engineered lifting arms and platforms to elevate vehicles, allowing technicians to access the underside for tasks such as tire changes, brake repairs, and oil changes. These lifts will provide Fleet technicians with the tools necessary to efficiently and safely maintain a diverse fleet of vehicles, thereby optimizing operational performance and customer satisfaction.
This is a new contract. The requested authorization amount was determined using estimated cost.
BuyBoard is a cooperative purchasing association recognized under Texas procurement statutes. Cooperative associations, themselves or using a lead government, competitively solicit and award contracts that are eligible for use by other qualified state and local governments. Due to their substantial volumes, larger than any one government could achieve independently, cooperative contracts routinely include superior terms, conditions, and pricing. Use of cooperative contracts also results in lower administrative costs and time savings.
If the contract is not secured, the Fleet Services Centers will not be able to replace essential equipment reaching the end of life, which could result in safety issues and reduced efficiency in operations.
