Fiscal Note

Funding in the amount of $98,033 is included in the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Austin Public Health Department Operating Budget. Funding for the remaining term is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.

September 1, 2022 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 12 to the agreement with The SAFE Alliance to add one 12-month extension option beginning October 1, 2022 in an amount not to exceed $98,033, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $812,332, on a 10-1 vote.

 

September 30, 2021 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 10 to the agreement with The SAFE Alliance to add one 12-month extension option beginning October 1, 2021 in an amount not to exceed $98,033, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $714,299, on an 11-0 vote.

The mission of The SAFE Alliance is to end sexual and domestic violence through safety, healing, prevention, and social change. The goals of the program are to provide safety and healing services to people in Austin and Travis County who have experienced rape, sexual abuse, and/or domestic violence.

 

This social services agreement with The SAFE Alliance, formerly known as the Travis County Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Survival Center, d/b/a SafePlace, was awarded through the 2014 Health and Human Services Department Self-Sufficiency Request for Applications, with services beginning on September 1, 2015, for an initial 37-month period in the amount of $264,600. All amendments are listed below:

 

Amendment No. 12 to add one 12-month extension option in an amount not to exceed $98,033, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $812,332.

 

Amendment No. 11 modified program exhibits.

 

Amendment No. 10 exercised the fourth extension option and added one 12-month extension option in the amount of $98,033 for the program period of October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022

 

Amendment No. 9 exercised the third extension option in the amount of $98,033 for the program period of October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021.

 

Amendment No. 8 modified the program exhibits.

 

Amendment No. 7 exercised the second extension option in the amount of $98,033 for the program period of October 1,2019 to September 30, 2020.

Amendment No. 6 added $35,000 in one-time funds, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $420,200.

 

Amendment No. 5 exercised the first extension option in the amount of $98,033 for the program period of October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019.

 

Amendment No. 4 added $2,391 to the agreement and modified program exhibits, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $287,167.

 

Amendment No. 3 added $4,300 to the agreement, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $284,776.
