Fiscal Note
Funding in the amount of $52,083 is available in the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Operating Budget of various City departments.
Funding for the remaining contract term is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.

Of the five offers received, the recommended contractor submitted the lowest responsive offer. This contract will provide glass beads used as material to create retroreflective markings on roadways and for use in airport roadway and airfield retroreflective markings. Reflective glass beads are divided into different types which are used depending on the roadway needing retroreflective marking. Type II and Type III are utilized on roadway markings to provide retro reflectivity, while Type I and Type III are used in airport roadway and airfield markings in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration rules and regulations.
This single contract will replace two contracts, one of which expires October 15, 2024. The requested authorization amount was determined using departmental estimates based on historical spending and anticipated future usage. The recommended contractor is the current provider for these goods.
A delay in contract approval could affect the City’s ability to maintain reflective markings on roadways and at the airport resulting in the City being out of compliance with Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
