Additional Backup Information:
The contract will provide remote access and virtualization software maintenance and support. Citrix software provides essential services to City workspaces such as secure access to virtual applications, access to cloud and data centers, data security, access to business resources, protection from disruptions, and protection of continuity of operations. These services allow the City to perform its essential functions more efficiently and securely.
This contract will replace an existing agreement that expires August 22, 2026. The recommended contractor is the current provider of these services. The proposed estimates reflect the continuation of existing services and are based on current usage and pricing. The increase in the estimated contract value compared to the previous agreement is due to the current market pricing, anticipated annual subscription cost increases, continued demand for technology services, and the transition from a fixed multi-year pricing structure to an agreement with annual renewal options.
Cooperative associations, themselves or using a lead government, competitively solicit and award contracts that are eligible for use by other qualified state and local governments. Due to their substantial volumes, larger than any one government could achieve independently, cooperative contracts routinely include superior terms, conditions, and pricing. Use of cooperative contracts also results in lower administrative costs and time savings.
A delay in contract approval could impact the City’s ability to perform its essential functions more efficiently.
