Procurement Language:

Austin Financial Services issued an Invitation for Bids solicitation IFB 8100 SSC1031 for these goods. The solicitation was published on January 5, 2026, and closed on February 3, 2026. Of the four offers received, the bids submitted by the recommended contractor were the lowest responsive bids received.  A complete solicitation package, including a tabulation of the bids received, is available for viewing on the City’s website. MBE/WBE:

This contract will be awarded in compliance with the City Code Chapter 2-9B (Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program). For the goods required for this solicitation, there were no subcontracting opportunities; therefore, no subcontracting goals were established.

Additional Backup Information:

These contracts will provide heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) parts critical to sustaining the operational integrity of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport campus, ensuring acceptable indoor air quality, comfort, and a reliable supply of HVAC parts for emergency needs and routine maintenance across existing and future systems. 

 

This contract replaces a contract expiring August 8, 2026. Requested authorization is based on historical spending and department estimates of future needs. One of the recommended contractors, Austin Armature Works LLP, is the current provider of these goods.

 

If the City is unable to secure a contract, Aviation staff may not be able to ensure that all facility systems and equipment are operational and available.
