The Financial Services Department issued an Invitation for Bids solicitation (IFB) 6200 DCG1017REBID for these goods. The solicitation was issued on December 30, 2024, and closed on January 30, 2025. Of the ten offers received, the recommended contractor submitted the lowest responsive offer, considering all line items. MBE/WBE:

This contract will be awarded in accordance with City Code Chapter 2-9B (Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program). For the goods required for this solicitation, there were no subcontracting opportunities; therefore, no subcontracting goals were established.

Additional Backup Information:

This contract will provide various roll-up traffic signs for the Transportation and Public Works Department which are used to establish traffic control and warnings around City work zones to provide protection and optimize public safety. The signs are also used during storm events to close flooded roads and low water crossings.

 

The contract replaces a contract expiring August 19, 2025. The authorized amount is based on historical spend as well as future projections. The recommended contractor is not the current provider for these goods.

 

A delay in contract approval could impact traffic safety on Austin roads.
