Authorize negotiation and execution of a contract for electronic safety and security systems maintenance and support with Schneider Electric Buildings Americas, Inc. d/b/a Schneider Electric, for up to five years for a total contract amount not to exceed $3,800,000.
[Note: Sole source contracts are exempt from the City Code Chapter 2-9B (Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program); therefore, no subcontracting goals were established.]

Additional Backup Information:
This contract will provide continued maintenance and support of the Schneider Electric system including the Access Expert, Security Expert, Continuum, and VideoXpert Access Control systems currently installed in City facilities. The Schneider Electric system consists of access control devices (card readers and door controls), video Surveillance devices (cameras and recorders), intrusion detection devices (alarm sensors, motion detectors), and required support software for integration and management of the system components.
Schneider Electric Buildings Americas, Inc. d/b/a Schneider Electric is the manufacturer and sole provider of maintenance, support, and enhancements for the Access Expert, Security Expert, Continuum, and VideoXpert Access Control systems and the related proprietary software code. There are no other authorized resellers or distributors of these products.
