Additional Backup Information:
The amendment will provide the City with continued access to the SPARX Systems enterprise architecture software tool. This tool helps the City to map current information technology environments and plans for the development, integration, and implementation of new technologies for City departments. The software allows the City to facilitate and share system architectural design and analysis within and across each department. The software tool facilitates more effective and timely strategic decision making for critical systems. Additionally, the contract supports tracking and managing projects throughout their lifecycle to ensure traceability of data across City systems and to keep the enterprise architecture models current.
The initial contract was established with insufficient contract authority due to underestimated authority requests from departments. This amendment is necessary to increase the total contract authority to an amount sufficient to support usage by all City departments.
