January 27, 2022 - Authorize the negotiation and execution of a 20-month contract that includes three 12-month contract extension options with each of the following non-profit agencies: American Youthworks, Austin Area Urban League, Austin Habitat for Humanity, Inc., Easterseals Central Texas, Inc., Interfaith Action of Central Texas, Meals on Wheels and More, Inc., and Rebuilding Together Austin to fund and administer the General Obligation Bond Funded Home Repair Program, GO REPAIR!, in an amount not to exceed $7,000,000.

 

February 01, 2024 - Authorize amendments to existing contracts with the following nonprofit agencies Austin Area Urban League; Austin Habitat for Humanity, Inc.; Easterseals Central Texas, Inc.; Interfaith Action of Central Texas; Meals on Wheels and More, Inc.; and Rebuilding Together Austin San Antonio to fund and administer the General Obligation Bond Funded Home Repair Program, G.O. Repair!, to increase the total contract amount, for an amount not to exceed up to $5,000,000 per 12-month extension, for a total contract amount not to exceed up to $22,000,000

 

Additional Backup Information:

The Austin Housing Finance Corporation currently has contracts with the following nonprofit organizations to fund and administer the G.O. Repair! Home Repair Program (the Program): the Austin Area Urban League, Austin Habitat for Humanity, Inc., Easterseals Central Texas, Inc., Interfaith Action of Central Texas, Meals on Wheels and More, Inc., and Rebuilding Together Austin San Antonio.

The purpose of this request is to authorize amendments to these contracts to extend the term of each contract for an additional two years from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2028, and to increase the amount of funds available for the contracts so that the Program can continue after the expiration of the current term and there is available funding for the Program after the total contract amount previously authorized has been expended.

These amendments will ensure continuity of operations and allow the Program to remain operational through September 30, 2028, without interruption.
