The amendment is for the continuation of maintenance and support for the City’s Financial system of record. The Advantage financial management system is used by all City departments to conduct financial transactions and produce required reporting. Key functions of the system include accounting, budgeting, procurement and contractor payments, asset management, accounts receivable, and collections. CGI Technologies and Solutions, Inc. hosts the City’s data and application on their secure private cloud and provides daily operational support for the system. In addition to ongoing maintenance needs, the City is in the process of implementing the Grants Lifecycle Management module and its associated components, including Contractor Self Service.
The contractor is the developer and copyright holder for the Advantage software package, and is the sole provider authorized to deliver annual maintenance services and specialized technical support. Additionally, the contractor is the exclusive source for licensing and support of several third-party products which are used as part of the financial system installation.
