For More Information:
Direct questions regarding this Recommendation for Council Action to Austin Financial Services - Central Procurement at: FSDCentralProcurementRCAs@austintexas.gov or 512-974-2500.
Additional Backup Information:
The proposed amendment will extend the contract term and increase contract authority to maintain uninterrupted citywide portable toilet rental services while Austin Financial Services completes a competitive solicitation for a replacement contract. The current contract expires January 25, 2027, and the six-month extension will continue services through July 25, 2027. The requested authority is based on expenditures to date, estimated annual usage, and projected needs from the departments currently using the contract.
These services support City operations, special events, construction projects, park operations, and other locations where permanent restroom facilities are unavailable or insufficient.
If this amendment is not approved, the contract may expire or available authority may be exhausted before a replacement contract is established, potentially resulting in delays or interruptions in portable sanitation services that could affect City operations, events, and projects.
