Fiscal Note
Funding in the amount of $3,000,000 is available in the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Operating Budget of Austin Water.
Funding for the remaining contract term is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.

The Financial Services Department issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) 2200 MLJ1012 for these goods. The solicitation was issued on June 26, 2023, and closed on August 31, 2023. Of the five offers received, the recommended contractors submitted the lowest responsive offers. Additional Backup Information:
This contract will provide various water utility equipment and materials for Austin Water. The Line Maintenance, Construction, and Field Services divisions use these materials and equipment in water service installations and repairs enabling their service crews to connect new customer accounts and repair existing customer line breaks.
The recommended contractors have previously provided these goods on multiple contracts for the City. The five contractors satisfy all Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Austin Water Standard Product List standards in accordance with the City’s specifications. The recommended contractors have the available stock, knowledge, and expertise to ensure and maintain safety standards. The requested authorization amounts were determined using historical spending amounts and department needs.
A delay in contract award could impact Austin Water’s ability address needed repairs and provide new customers with water access.
