Prior Council Action:

August 31, 2023 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of Amendment No 10 to the interlocal agreement with Worksource Greater Austin Area Workforce Board d/b/a/ Workforce Solutions - Capital Area Workforce Board to provide childcare quality improvement services and direct childcare, to add one six-month extension option beginning October 1, 2023, in an amount not to exceed $599,105, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $7,059,271, on consent without objection.

 

September 2, 2021 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 8 to the interlocal agreement with Worksource Greater Austin Area Workforce Board d/b/a Workforce Solutions Capital Area Workforce Board to provide early childhood services, adding two 12-month extension options each in an amount not to exceed $931,842, for a total revised agreement amount not to exceed $6,500,166, on a 9-1 vote with Council Member Kelly voting nay and Council Member Alter absent.

Workforce Solutions runs a high-quality childcare service program along with offering a quality improvement program for providers that helps them earn accreditations and improve curricula and child development education. Approval of this item will allow them to continue offering these services.

 

Amendment No. 10 exercised the seventh extension option in the amount of $559,105 for a six-month term beginning on October 1, 2023.

 

Amendment No. 9 exercised the sixth extension option in the amount of $931,842 for a 12-month term beginning on October 1, 2022.

 

Amendment No. 8 exercised the fifth extension option in the amount of $931,842 for a 12-month term beginning on October 1, 2021

 

Amendment No. 7 exercised the fourth extension option in the amount of $931,842 for a 12-month term beginning on October 1, 2020.

 

Amendment No. 6 exercised the third extension option in the amount of $931,842 for a 12-month term beginning on October 1, 2019.

 

Amendment No. 5 exercised the second extension option in the amount of $931,842 for a 12-month term beginning on October 1, 2018. 

 

Amendment No. 4 added $22,728 to the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 contract, and increased funding for the remaining extension options.

Amendment 3 exercised the first extension option in the amount of $909,114 for a 12-month term beginning on Oct 1, 2017.

 

Amendment No. 2 added $359,831 to the 12-month base agreement.

Amendment No. 1 added $183,415 to the 12-month base agreement and $8,415 to each renewal option thereafter. 

The City entered into the agreement with Workforce Solutions - Capital Area Workforce Board in 2016 for an initial agreement amount of $365,868 for a 12-month term beginning on October 1, 2016.
