APH is providing the Austin Area Urban League (AAUL) $775,946 in funds for City’s neighborhood centers. AAUL will be responsible for the management and distribution of direct financial assistance funds and payments to landlords and utility companies on behalf of neighborhood center clients. These funds will help eligible individuals avoid eviction.

Additionally, APH is utilizing $497,411 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) funds from the Housing and Planning Department. The goal of ARPA ERA funds is to deliver emergency rental assistance to eligible households suffering unemployment or other financial hardship.
