Additional Backup Information:

This contract provides strategic communications and community engagement for the Austin Convention Center (ACC) redevelopment and expansion project, which began in spring 2025 and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2028. The additional authorization ensures continued public outreach and transparency throughout the project’s implementation. This contract is fundamental to the overall project to ensure all stakeholders internal and external to the City are kept up to date with the most current information and status of this project. The main responsibility of the contractor is to develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan that informs the public and key stakeholders about the redevelopment and expansion project. Work includes but is not limited to:

                     Providing updates to the community, clients, stakeholders, and local businesses impacted by the project;

                     Creating project fact sheets, communications, and presentations to help facilitate briefings and updates being given by ACC staff;

                     Developing and maintaining a project-specific website;

                     Facilitating community engagement and public outreach; and
