Additional Backup Information:
The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is currently conducting its 2028 - 2031 Call for Projects. The competitive call for projects will select projects for federal transportation funding through the Surface Transportation Block Grant, Transportation Alternative Set-Aside and Carbon Reduction Program funding programs. For this project call, Travis County is planning to sponsor two corridor plan projects whose limits are partially within the City of Austin.
Travis County is providing 100 percent of the required local match for the planning grant; no match is being requested from the City. However, for the application to be eligible to be evaluated for funding, CAMPO is requiring Travis County, as the project sponsor, to receive a concurrence resolution from any jurisdiction’s governing body whose limits are within the proposed project application.
The two Travis County sponsored corridor plans with limits in the City are:
• Immanuel Road Corridor Plan (Killingsworth Lane - Crystal Bend Drive)
• Decker Lake Road Corridor Plan (FM 3177 - Taylor Lane)
If awarded, Travis County will contribute the 20 percent in matching funds and no matching funds are requested from the City.
Project applications are due by 5:00 P.M. CST on January 30, 2026, however, CAMPO has extended the deadline to February 20, 2026, for the submittal of concurrence documentation. Projects are anticipated to be awarded by the CAMPO Transportation Policy Board on June 8, 2026.
