Additional Backup Information:
The contract will provide MicroStrategy business intelligence software licenses, maintenance and support for the City’s cloud-based strategy platform. This software provides the functionality for capturing necessary information from multiple systems, automated delivery of reporting, as well as performing advanced data analysis and projections. MicroStrategy’s reporting and analytics functionality serve as the primary tool for producing the City’s annual budget. It is also used to gain insight into daily operational and budget performance, support future projections, and develop expenditure estimates. It is critical to support and maintain the City’s business intelligence analytics.
This contract will replace the agreement established in 2021. The recommended vendor is not the current provider for these services. Amounts were determined by using departmental estimates based on historical spending and anticipated future usage.
Cooperative associations, themselves or using a lead government, competitively solicit and award contracts that are eligible for use by other qualified state and local governments. Due to their substantial volumes, larger than any one government could achieve independently, cooperative contracts routinely include superior terms, conditions, and pricing. Use of cooperative contracts also results in lower administrative costs and time savings.
A delay in contract award could impact the City’s ability to effectively deliver city services.
