Fiscal Note

Funding in the amount of $100,797 is included in the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Austin Public Health Department Operating Budget. Funding for the remaining terms is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.

 

Prior Council Action:

September 1, 2022 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 13 to add one 12-month extension option in an amount not to exceed $100,797, on an 11-0 vote.

 

September 17, 2020 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 11 to add two 12-month extension options beginning October 1, 2020 in an amount not to exceed $100,797 per extension option, on an 11-0 vote.

 

February 15, 2018 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 7 to add $2,458 to the term ending on September 30, 2018, on a 10-0 vote with Council Member Casar off the dais.

 

April 13, 2017 - Council authorized execution of Amendment No. 5 to add $2,211 to the term ending on September 30, 2017 and each of the remaining three 12-month extension options, on a 9-0 vote with Council Member Pool absent and Council Member Troxclair abstaining.

 

August 7, 2014- Council approved a 12-month interlocal agreement with Integral Care for Community Advancement Network administration services beginning October 1, 2014, with five 12-month extension options.

Austin Travis County Mental Health & Mental Retardation Center, doing business as Integral Care (Integral Care), provides administration support for the Community Advancement Network. The Community Advancement Network is a partnership of governmental, non-profit, private, and faith-based organizations that leverages mutual resources to collectively improve social, health, educational and economic opportunities in Central Texas. As a neutral convener, connector, and informer in the community, the Community Advancement Network’s partnership works to promote a community of equity and opportunity for all.

 

Community Advancement Network staff provide management, coordination, communication, and follow-through for all phases of this community-wide collaborative process. Community Advancement Network shares research, data, and information that helps connect efforts and assist Community Advancement Network partners, service providers, and others to do their work in the community.

 

This action would authorize Austin Public Health to negotiate and execute Amendment No. 14 to the agreement with Integral Care to add two twelve-month extension options. All amendments are listed below:

 

Amendment No. 13 exercised the eighth 12-month extension option beginning on October 1, 2022.

 

Amendment No. 12 exercised the seventh 12-month extension option beginning on October 1, 2021.

 

Amendment No. 11 exercised the sixth 12-month extension option beginning on October 1, 2020.

 

Amendment No. 10 modified program exhibits.

 

Amendment No. 9 exercised the fifth 12-month extension option beginning on October 1, 2019.

 

Amendment No. 8 exercised the fourth 12-month extension option beginning on October 1, 2018.

 

Amendment No. 7 added $2,458 to the agreement as a part of the 2.5% cost of living increase authorized by Council for Fiscal Year 2017-2018.

 

Amendment No. 6 exercised the third 12-month extension option beginning on October 1, 2017.

 

Amendment No. 5 added $2,211 to the agreement as a part of the 2.3% cost of living increase for each of the three remaining 12-month extension options, for a total agreement amount not to exceed $580,171.

 

Amendment No. 4 exercised the second 12-month extension option beginning on October 1, 2016.

 

Amendment No. 3 added $5,441 to the agreement for the first 12-month extension option and each of the four remaining 12-month extension options as a result of a 6% cost of living increase to all of Austin Public Health Department’s social service agreements.

 

Amendment No. 2 exercised the first 12-month extension option beginning on October 1, 2015.

 

Amendment No. 1 added $22,500 to the base agreement and each of the five remaining 12-month extension options, for a total agreement amount not to exceed $544,122.
