The State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program is administered by the Office of the Governor Public Safety Office (PSO), with funding from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Administration, an agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The proposal titled Network Threat Management has been submitted to the state by the Information Security Office: It is a proposal to fortify Citywide network infrastructure via implementing robust Network Detection and Response capabilities.
This is the third year of this project. This action will provide the resolution required by the Office of the Governor’s Public Safety Office to complete the application for $725,630 and acceptance of grant funding upon award. The project period is October 1, 2026 - September 30, 2027.
The continuation funding of the Network Threat Management project is budgeted for $725,630 ($507,941 from grantor, $217,689 required cash match), for the following costs:
• Software licensing and support: $295,073: and
• Equipment: $430,557.
The grantor requires a resolution approved by Council. The resolution would authorize and ratify the following:
1. Authorization by your governing body for the submission of the application to the Public Safety Office (PSO) that clearly identifies the name of the project for which funding is requested;
2. A commitment to provide all applicable matching funds;
3. A designation of the name and/or title of an authorized official who is given the authority to apply for, accept, reject, alter, or terminate a grant; and
4. A written assurance that, in the event of loss or misuse of grant funds, the governing body will return all funds to PSO.
