Additional Backup Information:
This amendment ensures the continued licensing, support, and availability of Veeam Software, an enterprise backup and recovery solution Austin Aviation currently uses to protect critical infrastructure, virtual servers, Microsoft 365 data, and operational systems. The platform provides backup, replication, disaster recovery, and ransomware recovery capabilities, with offsite backup and replication to cloud storage.
The continued use of the software supports sustainable Information Technology operations by reducing recovery time objectives, minimizing service interruptions, and providing scalable cloud-based offsite backup storage rather than relying solely on on-premises backup infrastructure. Additionally, the solution helps improve cost efficiency by consolidating backup and recovery operations under a standardized enterprise platform rather than maintaining multiple independent backup solutions.
This amendment will authorize the funding required to maintain existing licenses, add new licenses, and ensure continuous operational support. Quantities were determined based on current usage.
