Purchasing Language:

The Financial Services Department issued an Invitation for Bids solicitation IFB 5000 TJP1008REBID for these services. The solicitation was issued on September 30, 2024, and closed on October 29, 2024. Of the three offers received, the recommended contractors submitted the lowest responsive offers. MBE/WBE:

This solicitation was reviewed for subcontracting opportunities in accordance with City Code Chapter 2-9B (Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program). For the services required for this solicitation, there were no subcontracting opportunities, therefore, no subcontracting goals were established.

Additional Backup Information:

These contracts will provide towing services to temporarily relocate parked vehicles while work is being performed in City work zones. The contractor will tow vehicles to nearby streets while work is performed at no charge to vehicle owners and return them once the work is complete. Advance notices will be placed on residential and business doors 30 days prior to scheduled projects, and again three days prior to starting work.

 

These contracts will replace the current contract which expires April 2, 2025. The requested authorization amount was determined using departmental estimates based on historical spending as well as forecasting for future needs.
