Prior Council Action:
September 14, 2023 - Council authorized the negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 1 to the agreement with the Salvation Army for the Emergency Solutions Grant towards Austin Shelter for Women and Children to add one 12-month extension option beginning on October 1, 2023 in an amount not to exceed $341,006, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $682,012 on an 8-0 vote with Council Members Alison Alter, Harper-Madison, and Pool absent.
December 8, 2022 - Council authorized the negotiation and execution of an agreement with the Salvation Army for the Emergency Solutions Grant Austin Shelter for Women and Children to provide operations and maintenance at the 24-hour low-barrier shelter for women and women with children, for a 12-month term in an amount not to exceed $341,006 on an 11-0 vote.

This action will authorize the ratification of an amendment to the agreement with Salvation Army for the ESG Austin Shelter for Women and Children to provide operational support for the low-barrier shelter program. Funding in the amount of $313,922 is available from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Emergency Solutions Grant. The agreement was renewed from 2023 to 2024 through Amendment No. 1, which added one 12-month extension option. Amendment No. 2 adds an additional 12-month extension option for 2024-2025.
