August 28, 2025 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of an amendment to the interlocal agreement with The University of Texas at Austin for the Mama Sana/Vibrant Woman program to improve birth outcomes and maternal/infant health among vulnerable communities of color, to add one 12-month extension option for the term ending September 30, 2026, in an amount not to exceed $408,944, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $4,264,994 on a 10-0 vote. Council Member Qadri was absent.
February 29, 2024 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of Amendment No 10 to the agreement with The University of Texas at Austin to improve birth outcomes and maternal/infant health among vulnerable communities of color in Austin, to add one six-month extension option ending on September 30, 2024, in an amount not to exceed $204,472, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $3,447,106, on consent on a 10-0 vote. Council Member Haper-Madison off the dais.
February 17, 2022 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 8 to the interlocal agreement with The University of Texas at Austin to provide funding for community-based health prevention and education programs, to add two 12-month extension options each in an amount not to exceed $408,944, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $3,242,634, on an 11-0 vote.

Additional Backup Information:
This action will authorize negotiation and execution of Amendment 15 with The University of Texas at Austin, for the Mama Sana/Vibrant Woman program to improve birth outcomes and maternal/infant health among vulnerable communities of color in Austin by addressing the unique barriers faced by African American and Latina women with low-income. The agreement was renewed from 2016 to 2026, including Amendment No. 1 through 14.
