This contract will allow Communications and Technology Management (CTM) to consolidate three different software licensing models for Informatica products (PowerCenter On-Premises, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, and Informatica Data Management Cloud) into one licensing model which will streamline and save time by simplifying licensing costs and renewals. In addition, this contract will provide a path for migration from on-premises and outdated cloud platform Informatica products to their latest cloud service iPaaS platform and enable CTM to provide and manage secure access to these services for any interested departments across the City.
The State of Texas Department of Information Resources is a cooperative purchasing association recognized under Texas procurement statutes. Cooperative associations, themselves or using a lead government, competitively solicit and award contracts that are eligible for use by other qualified state and local governments. Due to their substantial volumes, larger than any one government could achieve independently, cooperative contracts routinely include superior terms, conditions, and pricing. Use of cooperative contracts also results in lower administrative costs and time savings.
A delay in contract approval could impact the CTM’s ability to provide comprehensive data integration services to all City departments in a timely manner.
