Fiscal Note
Funding in the amount of $111,149 is available in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Austin Public Health Department Operating Budget. Funding for extension options is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.
Prior Council Action:
September 1, 2022 - Council authorized award, negotiation, and execution of Amendment No. 7 to an agreement with Austin Independent School District to provide stabilizing community services to families, to add two 12-month extension options in an amount not to exceed $111,149, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $886,481 on an 11-0 vote.
October 6, 2016 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of an agreement with Austin Independent School District for case management services and community outreach in an amount not to exceed $108,120 for an initial 12-month term, with five 12-month renewal options in an amount not to exceed $108,120 for a total contract amount not to exceed $648,720, on consent on a 9-0 vote. Council Member Zimmerman abstained. Council Member Troxclair was absent.

This action will authorize the negotiation and execution of Amendment 9 to the agreement with Austin Independent School District, for the Family Resource Centers program to work to stabilize families through engagement efforts, responsive and case-managed services, and community development efforts; helping families achieve/maintain stability. Services supplement those provided through entities such as community centers and neighborhood centers.
Amendment No. 8 exercised the seventh extension option in the amount of $111,149 for October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024.
Amendment No. 7. added two 12-month extension options in an amount not to exceed $111,149, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $886,481.
Amendment No. 6 exercised the fifth extension option in the amount of $111,149 for October 1, 2021, to September 30, 2022.
Amendment No. 5 exercised the fourth extension option in the amount of $111,149 for October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021.
Amendment No. 4 exercised the third extension option in the amount of $111,149 for October 1, 2019, to September 30, 2020.
Amendment No. 3 exercised the second extension option in the amount of $111,149 for October 1, 2018, to September 30, 2019.
Amendment No. 2 added $2,711 for October 1, 2017, to September 20, 2018, to each extension for a new total contract amount not to exceed $664,183 and modified program exhibits.
Amendment No. 1 exercised the first extension option in the amount of $108,438 for October 1, 2017, to September 30, 2018.
The current social services agreement with Austin Independent School District was awarded an amount not to exceed $108,120 for October 1, 2016, through September 30, 2017, with five 12-month extension options in an amount not to exceed $108,438 per extension option, for a total contract amount not to exceed $648,720.
