Funding in the amount of $349,710 is available in the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Operating Budget of Austin Public Health. Funding for the remaining years of the agreement is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.

August 28, 2025 – Council authorized the negotiation and execution of amendment to the agreement with Sickle Cell Texas Marc Thomas Foundation for Sickle Cell Navigation Services to provide education on sickle cell disease, supportive services, and treatment options, to add one 12-month extension option ending on September 30, 2026, in an amount not to exceed $388,567, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $2,682,635, approved on a 10-0 vote.
