The State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program is administered by the Office of the Governor Public Safety Office (PSO), with funding from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Administration, an agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The proposal titled Network Threat Management has been submitted to the state by the Information Security Office: It is a proposal to fortify Citywide network infrastructure via implementing robust Network Detection and Response capabilities.

The grantor requires a resolution approved by Council. The proposal has been submitted, but the grantor permits submission of the resolution afterwards. The resolution would authorize and ratify the following:
1. Authorization by your governing body for the submission of the application to the Public Safety Office (PSO) that clearly identifies the name of the project for which funding is requested;
2. A commitment to provide all applicable matching funds;
