Additional Backup Information:
On February 27, 2025, Council approved the Enterprise Zone Program Nomination for Spansion LLC. The State of Texas’ Economic Development & Tourism team approved the participation in the Enterprise Zone Program in the March 2025 round of applications. In June 2025, SkyWater Technology, Inc. acquired Spansion LLC, creating a need to reassign the nomination to the new owners of the fab. Original plans for the fab remain.
This item requests the City of Austin’s support of the name change application the State of Texas’ Enterprise Zone Program.
