Prior Council Action:
On May 30, 2024, Council directed the Law Department to return to Council with ballot language and charter redline for the charter amendments recommended by City staff and those Charter Review Commission (CRC) recommendations that could not be accomplished buy ordinance or resolution.

The Law Department has concluded that CRC recommendations 1, 3, 5, and 6 do not need to be put into the charter but rather can be achieved through adoption of ordinances. No ballot language or charter redline was drafted for those recommendations.
