Authorize negotiation and execution of an amendment to an agreement through September 30, 2025, with Family Eldercare for the Rehousing Aging Adults program to provide rapid rehousing services to individuals experiencing homelessness, to add one-time funds in an amount not to exceed $130,000, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $5,812,105. Prior Council Action:
February 13, 2025 - Council approved the negotiation and execution of an amendment to the agreement with Family Eldercare, Inc., doing business as Family Eldercare, on an 11-0 vote.
September 1, 2022 - Council approved the negotiation and execution of agreements with five social service agencies on a 10-1 vote. Council Member Kelly voted nay.

Additional Backup Information:
Rapid Rehousing (RRH) is a key strategy used to help individuals and families exit homelessness quickly and return to stable housing. It provides short- to medium-term rental assistance and supportive services, such as case management and housing navigation, with a focus on reducing the length of time someone experiences homelessness. RRH is designed for people who do not need intensive, long-term support to maintain housing, and it is a critical tool in the local homeless response system for making homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring.
