Approve an ordinance amending City Code Section 4-18-25 to clarify that the lease addendum, tenant protections, and the right to organize apply to density bonus and incentive programs; and to add language authorizing the director to add provisions as necessary to the land use restriction agreement to ensure that it achieves the purposes of the density bonus and incentive programs and protects tenants at these developments. This ordinance clarifies existing language related to following the City-approved lease addendum, tenant protections, and the right to organize. If approved, the ordinance will state that these requirements apply to all density bonus and incentive programs that follow Article 2 (Density Bous and Incentive Programs) in City Code Chapter 4-18 (General Permitting Standards).
Additionally, the ordinance adds language that allows the director to add provisions as necessary to ensure the land use restriction agreement achieves the purposes of the density bonus and incentive programs and protects tenants who reside a development that are constructed using the City’s density bonus and incentive programs.
