Prior Council Action:
July 30, 2026 - The public hearing on the proposed City of Austin Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 beginning on October 1, 2026, and ending on September 30, 2027, was conducted and the City Council acted to postpone the vote on the adoption of the budget to the August 12, 2026, Council meeting on a 10-0 vote.
July 22, 2026 - A community input session to receive public comment on the proposed budget was conducted.
July 16, 2026 - Presentation and discussion of the City Manager’s Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Proposed Budget was conducted and a public hearing to receive and consider public comment on the proposed budget for the City for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 was set for July 30, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Austin City Hall.

By this action, the City Council will adopt the City of Austin Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027, which begins on October 1, 2026, and ends on September 30, 2027. The Council held the hearing required by state statute for the budget on July 30, 2026.
