Prior Council Action:
July 18, 2024 - Council adopted Resolution No. 20240718-093 which directed the City Manager to bring City Council a comprehensive bond package that funds and addresses climate, infrastructure, and any other public improvements for the purpose of conducting an election no later than November 2026.
August 29, 2024 - Council adopted Resolution No. 20240829-138 which created the 2026 Bond Election Advisory Task Force and provided direction related to a potential 2026 Bond.
September 26, 2024 - Council adopted Resolution No. 20240926-075 asking staff to solicit partnership opportunities in the bond development process.
February 26, 2026 - Council adopted Resolution No. 20260226-055 which established a "bond decision tree" that prioritizes including projects that could leverage matching funds from other governmental agencies or private partnerships.
May 28, 2026 - Council adopted Resolution No. 20260528-097 directing the City Manager to prepare a potential bond package and necessary ordinances to call a November 2026 bond election using the $390 million Staff Alternative Scenario presented in the May 15, 2026, memorandum to Mayor and Council as the baseline proposal.
August 4, 2026 - Council adopted Resolution No. 20260804-002 directing the City Manager to prepare a potential bond package and necessary ordinances to call a November 2026 bond election.
