Funding in the amount of $288,000 is available from the U.S. Department of Transportation Safe Streets and Roads for All program. A City match of $72,000 is required and is available in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Capital and Operating Budgets of the Transportation and Public Works Department. Fiscal notes are attached.
Prior Council Action:
June 1, 2023 - Resolution No. 20230601-042, authorizing the City Manager to submit a grant application for the Fiscal Year 2023 Safe Streets and Road for All Implementation Grant discretionary grant program, administered by the United States Department of Transportation, was approved on a 10-0 vote with Council Member Harper-Madison off the dais.
