October 13, 2022 - Council approved Ordinance No. 20221013-073, establishing The Austin/Travis County Public Health Commission.
September 30, 2021 - Council approved Resolution No. 20210930-108 directing the City Manager to collaborate with Travis County to create the Austin/Travis County Public Health Commission on a 10-1 vote.

The Austin/Travis County Public Health Commission (ATC-PHC) was established on October 13, 2022, and serves as an advisory body to the Council and the Travis County Commissioners Court concerning public health programs, projects, services, public health and human service needs, and approaches for improvement.
The ATC-PHC consists of nine voting members and four ex-officio members who nominate the voting members for Council and Commissioners Court approval. The ex-officio members nominated the four appointees proposed by this item and its approval will bring the voting members to the full complement of nine. The ATC-PHC represents a broad range of health and human service interests and lived experiences, and the four proposed appointees will contribute to its balanced and diverse membership.
